Danmon Systems Group A/S takes over UK broadcast system supplier ATG Broadcast Limited.
Danmon Systems Group A/S, a part of Dan Technologies A/S, is taking over ATG Broadcast Limited. The company will become a wholly-owned subsidiary.
ATG Broadcast Limited was founded in 1993 and employs a permanent staff of 15, primarily design and systems engineers. Over the years they have built up substantial know how and a good reputation nationally as well as internationally. The company has delivered a large number of multi-service solutions in the area of radio and television broadcast systems, especially workflow-based digital production and transmission systems, and in connection with the conversion from analog to digital technology and from standard definition to high definition television.
ATG Broadcast Limited will continue its activities under the same name from its headquarters in Letchworth, Hertfordshire. One of the founders of ATG Broadcast Limited, CEO Graham Buchanan, who will remain in office, says: “It is a very healthy development for both Danmon Systems Group A/S and ATG Broadcast Limited. Danmon’s management made such a huge impression on us during the preliminary negotiations that we were happy to complete the sale. A combination like this, between a Nordic and a UK systems house, which both work internationally, will strengthen the companies’ know how and, especially, the commercial side.”

Henning Brønnum of Danmon Systems Group A/S also adds: “For several years, we have been on the lookout for a partner. Now we have successfully closed the deal to acquire ATG Broadcast Limited. We have followed ATG for many years, and it matches our strategy and goals. With this acquisition, we will further strengthen our systems integration capacity and at the same time become one of Northern Europe’s largest companies in the field.”
ATG Broadcast Limited and Danmon Systems Group A/S are independent systems suppliers with experience in both large and small projects, including computer-based media management systems.
Danmon Systems Group A/S / ATG Broadcast Limited will be part of the Dan Technologies Group, which employs 115 people at its subsidiaries in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and the UK and has a turnover of DKK 350 million. Dan Technologies A/S is the parent company of a number of market leaders within professional audio and video equipment. The Group provides solutions for radio and TV stations, film and video production companies and telecommunications.
